The Jerusalem Bird Observatory houses one of many national bird-ringing centers. It serves as an ideal tool for conservation and migration studies. The bird conservation position entails taking part in day to day functioning of the observatory as well as joining special projects that occur in the SPNI center in Jerusalem. They are looking for a dedicated volunteer that is interested in helping raise awareness of environmental issues as related to the effects of urban life and development on Israel as a major bird migration site.
